Family pictures in the snow
We took family pictures out in the snow. Kyle Payne took them for us. He is great if anyone needs pictures let me know and I will get you his info. Anywho, it was so cold and it was snowing while we were out there. We were only outside for 15 minutes or so. But the next day Jade got really sick. Turns out she has an ear infection and an upper respitory infection. It might have been from the cold. Seeing her be so sick is soooo amazingly sad. It breaks my heart! Hopefully she will be all better really soon. The pictures turned out really good though.

Out with my sisters in Arizona
Jade and I went to Arizona this past weekend to vistit my sisters and their families. My sister Deidra had her birthday while I was there and we got to go out. My brother-in-law, Trevor, watched Jade so we could go out, just us sisters. We missed Lynsey and wished she was there with us. We had a good time. We went out to eat at Pita Jungle and then saw the movie "Twilight". It was a really good movie but the book was still better. Then we went to another restaurant to have chocolate cake they kept raving about. It was delicious but the chocolate cake at PF Changs and the Chocolate Lasagna at Olive Garden was still better. I had so much fun being with my sisters!
Jade's First Birthday!
Jade's First Birthday!
Jade had her first birthday on November 24th, 2008. Ian actually had the day off so that was awsome getting to spend the whole day together. We went to the park and she walked around on the grass. We didn't stay very long because it was cold. Then in the afternoon, Lynsey, Tallie, and Chloe came over for her little party. Jade love Winnie the Pooh so we had a Winnie the Pooh theme. She had her first cake and was more interested in squeezing it in her hands then eating it. She liked it, had a few bites and then was done. She loved the party favors that you blow into and they make a noise. She also really loved her fire truck because it talks and sings and she figured out how to push the button herself. She also loved her shopping cart because it also sings and lights up! It was a good day. A little part of me was sad though because she isn't a baby anymore! She is growing so fast. I love spending all my time with her, it is flying by too quickly!
Dress up for Jade
Well I haven't been doing a good job on the blog lately. Ian had his birthday on Nov. 17 and he turned 25. We took an ice cream cake to Lynsey's house and ate it there the night before his birthday. Then Lynsey watched Jade over night for us. We went to Park City and stayed in a condo. Park city was totally dead and we couldn't even find a restaurant to eat in. We found a grocery store and bought some food to take back to the condo and watched a movie. Then the next day we went to the Park City outlets and then drove to Salt Lake. We had lunch and then toured the Behive house (Brigham Young's house). Then we went to see the movie Joseph at the Joseph Smith Memorial Builing. It was such a great movie. I cried a ton, parts of it were really sad. Then we walked around Temple Square and went into the Tabernacle. Then we ate at PF Changs for dinner. Way good food and we got the best Chocolate cake ever there. Then we missed Jade so much we drove back to get her. We had fun and it was really nice to have a little mini get away with just Ian. I think he had a good birthday! I forgot to take my camera to take pictures, bummer!

Park and dinner
Today we had Lynsey, Tj, Tallie, and Chloe over. We went on a walk trading off pushing strollers and riding long boards and then played at the park. Tj and Ian even pushed strollers while long boarding. Then we all had dinner at our apartment. We made a roast for the first time and it turned out great. Then Kyle, Megan, and their daughter, Hallie came over and all the adults played a way fun game called Quelf. I think everyone should own this game, pretty much one of the funniest games ever! We had peach crisp while all the kids ran crazy. It was a really good night!

My mission companion and ward mission leader
Sunday, October 12, 2008, I went to sacrament meeting Salt Lake. Just I went because the night before Jade had a really bad night and none of us got any sleep. Jade finally fell asleep at 3am and I didn't want to wake her up at 7:15 to go to Salt Lake. So Ian stayed home with her. I went because one of my best mission companions, Sara Anne (McDonald) Stout, her son was getting blessed. It is her second child, both boys. It was fun to see her and her new baby, well her whole family. Also Johnny Newcomb was in town from Greece, New York. He was my ward mission leader in the singles branch where Sara Anne and I served in Brighton for nine months. It was good to see him, awe mission memories!:)
Brandon Moore's wedding reception
update on the last few weeks Sept.26, - Oct 13
Late Friday night, Sept. 26th, Ian's grandma flew Ian home to help clean our old apartment and drive with Jade and I to Utah. I was sooooo happy to see him. He moved up there 3 weeks earlier to start traing in his new job with Verizon Wireless. Jade and I really missed him. That was the longest time we have ever been apart and I hope it never happens again.
My parents drove their truck and huge trailor packed with all our stuff and Ian and I drove in my car with Jade. Jade did amazing on the trip. We drove half way Sat night and the rest of the way Sunday. I was glad my parents were there so we could spend some time with them. I will miss them a lot! We got to our new place and it was a mess. The former tennants did a bad job cleaning or they didn't clean at all. So we had to deep clean everything before we moved in. My mom stayed for a couple of days and helped me unpack the big things and finish cleaning. That was really nice of her. Then a few days after she left my sister Jodi flew in for the weekend and stayed with us. We had a lot of fun, and it was good to see her. It was also Conference weekend and it was really good. So now, Sept. 13, I am finally finishing the last of the unpacking and decorating. I can't wait to be all done so we can just enjoy our new life in Utah. It has been a lot of fun living by Lynsey again. Jade also loves playing with her cousins and now she gets to do it often.

Sept. 27, 2008 - Jade's first taste of chocolate!
Ian gave Jade his empty chocolate wrapper to play with and there was a little melted chocolate still on it. She tasted that and went crazy licking it. She couldn't get enough and loved it. I was trying to keep it away from here for as long as I could. No need for her to start early and become obsessed with it like her mom is! I must admit, she looked so cute with it all over her face!
